It's simple
Bri Williams
Simple ideas sell.
That’s what I’ve decided.
From Simon Sinek’s “Start With Why” to Mel Robbins’ “Let Them Theory” and Marie Kondo’s “Spark Joy,” the ideas that travel fastest are usually the simplest.
And honestly, it really annoys me.
It annoys me when I hear someone build a huge platform around something that sounds obvious.
But here’s the deeper truth.
I'm not annoyed with them.
I’m annoyed with myself.
Because they’ve managed to articulate something in a way that millions of people can understand, remember and repeat.
And that takes talent.
So I’ve turned my irritation into a guiding principle.
Simple ideas sell.
They resonate. They make people feel better or smarter or more capable.
They give people something that’s easy to explain at the board table and dinner table.
Because frankly, if an idea can’t be repeated, it won’t spread.
So whether you’re “selling” an idea to clients or colleagues, stop trying to prove how smart you are.
Make them feel smart.
Because simple ideas sell.
