Someone
Bri Williams
“For anything to change, someone has to start acting differently.”
– Dan & Chip Heath
It’s one of my favourite quotes because it highlights two important points about behaviour change.
-
It’s about acting differently.
Change isn’t a feeling.
Change isn’t a thought.
Change doesn’t happen without action.

Someone
We often think it’s the person or people we’re seeking to influence that has to change.
But look closer.
Because chances are, to get them to change means you have to change your behaviour, too.
You have to show up differently.
You have to communicate in a way that lands with them.
And you have to design your approach to influence.
Change doesn’t start with them, it starts with you.
