The penny dropping
Bri Williams
One of my favourite sounds? The sound of the penny dropping.
I often have the pleasure of hearing realisations in real-time when my clients kindly (but sometimes curtly) let me know that they’ve got it. Something has shifted. The mystery has been solved.
This happened a week or so ago when I was talking with a client about a script they were using to recruit research participants.
The change was as simple as getting to the benefit sooner. I say simple, but they’d been using this script for years without realising it was hindering rather than helping their cause.
It feels like a magical thing, but really it’s about working through what their behavioural objective is, and what is standing in the way.
