My most terrifying drive
Bri Williams
The most terrifying drive I’ve ever experienced was on the west coast of Tasmania.
Travelling alone in my 2WD van, I drove south along the Western Explorer Highway to Corrina.
Despite being called a highway, this was 75 kilometers of unsealed, potholed, twisty road. The sign at the entrance warned me that there was no phone or internet coverage for the duration, so if something happened, I was on my own.
To say I hated that drive was an understatement.
I simply couldn’t enjoy the magnificent scenery because I was underprepared and it was all my fault.
If I’d known basic car mechanics or had a satellite phone I could have driven confidently and calmly into the unknown.
👉 That’s what I want for you when dealing with people.
The confidence and calm to navigate unknown twists and turns. That’s what knowing how to influence action is about.
