The one skill
Bri Williams
When asked what skill he thought would be most required in future, marketing professor and podcaster Scott Galloway said this:
“If I had to pick one thing that will persevere and always be important in terms of your ability to advance professionally, it’s communications…
The difference between someone who does well and someone who does exceptionally well is their ability to capture people’s attention, and take data and create an arc and tell stories and compel people to action.”
Capture attention and compel people to take action.
That’s the key.
Because we have plenty of people seeking our attention.
We have plenty of communicating with us - or more precisely - to us.
But if you want the edge in how to do it in a way that really gets traction, it’s not just learning to communicate, it’s learning how to apply behavioural science to how you communicate.
