The roles at risk of disruption
Bri Williams
Ouch. Here's a wake-up call for white-collar professionals.
The June 2026 edition of Deloitte Access Economicsβ quarterly Employment Forecasts report has identified the roles most likely to be disrupted β though not necessarily eradicated β by AI.
Amongst them:
HR Managers. Accountants. Retail Managers. Graphic Designers. Event Managers.
Deloitte analysed the extent to which an occupationβs core tasks can be automated by AI versus the necessity for human performance.
The Top 50 occupations included some surprises.
Is yours on the list?

If it is, there's some good news:
According to Deloitte: βThese AI-disrupted occupations are concentrated in white-collar, knowledge-intensive industries such as financial and insurance services, professional, scientific and technical services, and information media, but the disrupted tasks within these roles often rely less on judgement, empathy and people skills."
In other words, with transactional work stripped away, its excellence in people skills that will define your success.
So there's no better time β no more urgent a time β to sharpen your "soft skills".
And yes, behavioural science is the perfect way to differentiate and substantiate your value.
